well if you are gonna use a Me/Mo i've done smite runs using my monk and a famine ranger hero. I use mind wrack. Its a 5 sec recharge and its good damage speeds up the killing alot.
Illusion -16
Domination - 12 or 13.
Rez Chant - i don't find the need for vengence cause you can rez a 55 with chant
SV
AV
Mind Wrack
Signet of Illusion {E}
mending
essence
vig spirit - i find this better then breeze. since u gonna be in flail and with signet of illusion you can easily get a +4 mending and vig spirit will heal for around 20hp per hit.
havn't tested but thats what i would try.

Just replace Vengence with Ressurection Chant. Rebirth them to move their body closer to you then resurect them with full health. Guess it works either way though.

Kryth I understand perfectly your mad about me, but I'll publish the build with a video to show how it's done after the skill balance. Don't want some skills to be nerfed due to extreme farming.
I can only tell you that besides the build it's the way that is played that it's the most important thing to work.
Cheers, hope u understand my concerns

Brother Gilburt I suggest you read all the thread , yes we too prefer Res Chant instead of Vengeance but I keep saying Vengeance due to the fact that some ppl only have Prophecies campaign.
Grolubao: It's not that mate, I'm solo farming UW too. But imho, your total approach is illogical, just because there's a solo farm dosen't mean all people should farm solo. Because Solo farming is 1- boring 2- lonely 3- slow.
Therefore people create alternatives for farming.
And I think its a good time to mention this; I've been trying Witte Was' solo W/Rt farming for UW(grats for the build btw it's really something). But there are so many drawbacks that I keep going back to duo farming. First of all this whole thing about skipping the aatxes in the first chamber can't be good if you ask me. They drop ectos? They do. So they should be killed. Secondly the build is very very very slow. For 3 Grasping Darkness I have to spend over 70 seconds. For 4 Grasping Darkness (when they are spread) I have to spend well over 90 seconds. A duo build (lets take this thread as an example) takes 10 seconds tops to kill one Grasping, smites take even less. Not to mention that duo builds also kill Aatxes and Dryders (Coldfires and Behemoths even).
From my perspective ; if one is farming for a certain item, he should be killing all the monsters that have a possibility of dropping the item. I'm not saying one should choose this or that build but you know, it's just the way I like it. So When I was talkin about creating alternatives just now Grolubao, this is what I meant.

i was thinking about using that mesmer build with a warrior. i think that build will give you enought healing and at the same time help with the damage output.
and the whole duo vs single farm thing. right now i don't see any build worth using for solo, the ones i know about at least. the builds are either too conditional for damage or they skip enemies. i'll stick to the duo, usually my hero, for now.

Kryth, it's all about efficiency. Your correct, I don't kill aataxes and they drop ectos, totally right, BUT, if you look at money + ectos per hour I will be winning all the time, because I farm solo, and that's basically that's what this is all about, getting the maximum amount of cash + ectos in the same time period.
The build I will post with the video isn't slow nor boring, ok it's lonely but hey sometimes you just want to farm alone right?
Anyway don't want to mess up with ur thread with my ideas.
Cheers

No no, I didn't mean to sound like we ain't open to new ideas.
Ideas are always welcome, what disturbed me is that , solo > duo principal. They both have advantages and disadvantages and flaws and pluses. It just comes down to what people prefer. Some create, other choose. All free.
Cheers.
Oh and , HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

what I say is :
solo farming is about efficiency, right? so efficiency is about being a nerd.
duo farming is about fun, teamplay, and for guildwork.

Grats on the build, looks a damm great one and its nice to see that a warrior can finally enter the UW!.
With regard to colds they dont drop sorry, been UW from the start now with the old style trapper, 55/ss then 55/famine, now retrib monk (72 dam retribution for each attack plus 89 dam every 5 secs + sig dam, owns at the mo!).
Once again grats on coming up with a totally new build style its v rare now adays.

I think solo farming and duo can be fun and efficient depending on the style in which you play the game. Sometimes farming by yourself can reap more rewards because of the farming codes and etc. However, duo farming can also be very rewarding because you learn more teamwork based farms, and is less lonely.

Okay, I haven't tried the build yet, but as far as I can see, a full set of glads armor isn't needed, since you have all the energy needed. If you use a set of knights armor will the -3 phys. dmg activate after or before prot spirit? If it activates after prot spirit it could get very easy to tank.
Just a suggestion

it doesn't matter what armor. i don't run knights or glads. no matter what you still only take 5 damage.

What Langdon says is true, armor dosen't matter, you might as well enter with no armor It's just there for the runes.
darrengordon, I'm sad to hear that, well at least now we that we know it, we won't spend time for them. I would consider this official now; that the coldfires don't drop ectos. Thanks for the information mate.
Ahm , about the nerd subject. Well I was sitting next to Saph, when he typed the post and honestly I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Ano that its a bit of a harsh remark but lemme clarify it from my point of view. If the current solo builds (with VwK) didn't spread, I'd totally agree with solo builds > duo builds code. But it dosen't. So theres plenty of room for duo builds to come up. I think Blacktemplar made it all clear with what he said. It depends on the style in which one plays the game.
I think Saph meant that people who tend to play a co-op based multiplayer game alone, are more nerdy But then again aren't we nerds all
Big information coming soon by the way, about the Me/Mo instead of the Mo/Me subject It'll be worth the wait
